This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains what data is processed when using the Z balanco na Možjanco website and the automated cyclist counting system, how cookies are used, and for what purposes.

The cyclist counting system uses a camera and computer vision software to automatically detect cyclists. Camera images are used exclusively for real-time computer processing required to detect a cyclist passing the counting location and determine their direction of travel. Photographs and video recordings of cyclists or other road users are NOT stored. After a cyclist has been successfully detected, the system stores only: • The time of the detected passage • The direction of travel • The counting location The system is not designed to identify individuals and does not use facial recognition, licence plate recognition, or other methods intended to determine identity.
4. Purpose of Cyclist Counting & Data Retention
Data generated by the system is used exclusively to monitor and produce statistics about bicycle traffic, including displaying detected cyclists, direction of travel, time period analysis, and public display on the website. The data is not intended to track movements or profile individuals. Passage statistics may be retained on a long-term basis for traffic analysis across extended periods. Photographs and video recordings are never stored.
